Hi,

Just to say I successfully updated to the latest Windows Phone version (7.10.8773.98) last night.  Two updates were installed so I presume the first update was the previous update that I missed due to wrong region settings.

I got a notification on my phone. According to the Nokia Software Update availability site only 1 of the product codes for Meteor has the Update Available. The other product code is still at Awaiting for approval so maybe you have the other product code.

Just got the OS to update to 7.10.8773.98 using Zune trick (it's a bit hit and miss but if you keep trying it'll get there):

Start Zune,

Turn off Data connection and Wifi on the Phone,

Connect the Phone with the PC (USB),

Start the update search in Zune, About 3 seconds later, disconnect your PC from the internet (Turn WLAN/LAN off),

Zune finds Update. Press OK.

Connect to the internet again and install the update.

I had to do this twice, first took it to 7.10.8112.7, second to 7.10.8773.98

The problem is, my firmware is still stuck at 1600.2483.8107.11501 which means I still don't have the battery fix. So to repeat ShayMac's questions earlier in the thread (NB this refers to FIRMWARE updates, not OS updates):

This whole thread has two simple questions;

Can those who purchased this phone with the original firmware 1600.2483.8107.11501 update to any of the new updates issued as far back as March?

If yes, how?

When will we get the latest Nokia firmware update 1750.0805.8773.12220?

Surley it shouldn't take this long to issue update after microsoft and nokia say they are avaliable?

Kepping my fingers crossed it will be ready early next week!!

Haven't gotten anything either. It seems blindingly obvious that the representatives here don't have a clue about this issue, which in itself is fine, it's the fact that they're not finding out from somebody who does have a clue that is the disappointing thing.

The latest update for the 800 is:

Software Version: 7.10.8773.98

Firmware Revision: 1750.0805.8773.12220

This started going live on Tuesday 17th and all customers should have it by early next week.

Tried that over the weekend couldn't get it working for me to spent nearly hour trying the "zune" trick .

but plese tell me we will get update this week  and not waiting another for it
